Honeywell International Inc. (HON - Analyst Report) has been selected to develop and implement China's first smart grid pilot project and feasibility study for managing energy use in commercial buildings.
The pilot will bank on Honeywell's smart grid technology and expertise, which includes automated demand response, advanced energy management and sub-metering.
The company will provide guidance to the state grid and its customers to manage energy supply and demand, automatically adjusting electricity consumption and reducing strain on China's utility infrastructure.
Honeywell is a leading supplier of electronics, consumable hardware, engine controls, environmental controls, landing systems, power systems, propulsion engines, aerospace services and space products and systems for the aerospace industry, including commercial and regional airlines, air cargo carriers, as well as Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of commercial, regional, military aircraft and spacecraft.
