The company that makes Airbus planes, the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, will transfer some development projects on its advanced fourth generation Eurofighter Typhoon to India soon.
A top company official said EADS had set up a military research and development centre in Bangalore to complete the task.
The official said the consortium’s activities in India would be completely independent of its bid for 126 combat aircraft for the Indian Air Force, even though the bid involves the winner re-investing 50 percent of the deal in India’s defence manufacturing industry.
